HSI Adult | Child | Infant CPR AED Course

HSI Adult | Child | Infant CPR AED Course

The HSI (Health & Safety Institute) Adult | Child | Infant CPR AED course is a comprehensive training program designed to educate individuals in life-saving techniques, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) use for adults, children, and infants. This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies across various age groups.

Key components of the HSI Adult | Child | Infant CPR AED course include:

  1. CPR for Different Age Groups: The course covers the nuances of performing CPR on adults, children, and infants. Participants learn the appropriate techniques for chest compressions, rescue breaths, and rate variations based on the age and size of the victim.

  2. AED Usage: Participants receive instruction on the operation and use of AEDs for each age group. They learn how to attach AED electrodes, deliver shocks, and follow the device's prompts.

  3. Choking Relief: The course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to choking in adults, children, and infants, including the correct application of abdominal thrusts and back blows.

  4. Interactive Learning: The program typically employs interactive, hands-on training sessions, as well as video-based instruction, to engage participants and reinforce their skills and knowledge.

  5. Emergency Response: In addition to CPR and AED use, participants receive guidance on providing basic first aid, injury assessment, and treatment for various common emergencies.

Upon successful completion of the HSI Adult | Child | Infant CPR AED course, participants receive a certification card that verifies their competency in these life-saving skills.

This training program is particularly valuable for healthcare professionals, childcare providers, teachers, coaches, and anyone who wants to be prepared to respond to cardiac emergencies in different age groups. It ensures that individuals have the knowledge and skills to provide immediate care to victims of cardiac arrest or choking, regardless of their age, potentially making a significant difference in patient outcomes and reducing the severity of injuries in emergency situations.
